EU Opportunities and Awareness Sessions

Papinian organises an awareness session approximately every 2 months in cooperation with local schools, municipal actors and community organisations. The sessions introduce opportunities available through European programmes, including youth exchanges, training courses, volunteering and adult learning.

We explain these programmes in clear language and use practical examples to show who can participate, what participants can expect and how to find a suitable opportunity. Questions and open discussion help young people, adults and community members understand the process. The sessions are particularly useful for people who have little previous experience of Erasmus+ or who may assume that European opportunities are not accessible to them.

4-month programme · Young adults aged 18–30

Tech It, Easy!

Tech It, Easy! is a 4-month practical digital-skills programme for young adults aged 18 to 30. It is designed for participants who want to become more confident using technology for education, employment, community activities or their own creative ideas.

Participants learn by completing practical tasks with tools such as Canva, Prezi and CapCut, as well as AI-assisted design and coding platforms. They create presentations, visual materials, short videos and digital content while developing skills in communication, teamwork and problem-solving. The programme also introduces responsible AI use, online safety and the importance of checking information before sharing it. By the end of the programme, participants have a small portfolio of work and skills they can continue using independently.

2 workshops a month · Adults aged 40+

Tech It, Easy Adults!

Tech It, Easy Adults! offers 2 workshops each month for adults aged 40 and over. The sessions respond to the growing need for practical digital support among adults who want to keep up with new technology but may not feel comfortable learning through fast-paced or highly technical courses.

Each workshop uses clear, step-by-step guidance and gives participants time to practise. Topics include social media management, creating posts and advertisements, Canva design, basic video editing with CapCut and useful applications of AI beyond simple chat. The programme also covers privacy, misleading online content and safer use of digital services. Participants can apply what they learn to everyday life, employment, small businesses, voluntary work or community initiatives.

Annual half-day community event

Include Yourself!

People from different backgrounds talking over a shared meal

Include Yourself! is Papinian's annual half-day community event focused on social inclusion. It brings together people from different cultural, social and age groups to discuss what helps people feel included and what can prevent them from participating fully in community life.

The programme combines short talks, group discussion, participatory activities and an informal reception where participants can continue conversations and make new connections. Rather than discussing inclusion only as an idea, the event invites people to share real experiences and suggest practical improvements for their communities. It raises awareness of exclusion, creates contact between groups that may not usually meet and encourages future local cooperation.

International programmes

Where people who may not usually meet, learn from one another.

I

Youth Exchanges

Youth Exchanges bring young people from different countries together to live, learn and work as a group. Through non-formal education, intercultural activities and shared responsibility, participants build confidence, skills, friendships and a stronger sense of European belonging.

II

Training Courses for Youth Workers

Our training activities offer practical professional development for youth workers, educators, trainers, facilitators and project staff. Topics include digital youth work, inclusion, intercultural learning, non-formal education, project management and active participation.

III

Seminars and Cultural Events

We create spaces where people who may not usually meet can learn from one another through discussion, music, art, food and shared cultural experiences. The aim is direct contact, mutual understanding and stronger community relationships.

IV

Sport and Healthy Living

Sport is an accessible way to build teamwork, trust and wellbeing across languages and backgrounds. Our activities encourage people to move, cooperate and connect in an inclusive environment.

European partnerships

A coordinator, and a partner.

Papinian cooperates with organisations across Europe as both a coordinating organisation and a project partner. When another organisation leads a project, we can support participant recruitment and preparation, communication, implementation, dissemination, evaluation and local follow-up. We also contribute multilingual capacity, local community connections and experience working with migrants, refugees, young people and participants with fewer opportunities.

We are also developing cooperation under European programmes including CERV, particularly around inclusion, equal opportunities and women's participation in economic and financial life.
